12th Gut Day Symposium
September 23rd, 2010
Gent, Belgium
The Gut Day ('Darmendag') is a yearly gathering of academic and industrial researchers around the topics of gastrointestinal research in general (including but not exclusively dealing with microbiology, host-microbe interactions etc...)
Novel developments in metagenomic, transcriptomic and proteomic analyses of the gastrointestinal microbial community are discussed and mechanisms of microbial behavior and interaction with the human host and consequences for host health are highlighted.
The symposium includes two keynote lectures from established scientists in the field, ten platform presentations and a lively poster discussion session.
